This movie picks up right where the last one ended, with Murdoch still having only one week to live. She worked for Murdoch, the ultra-rich CEO of Wexel Hall Pharmaceuticals who needs the serum to cure his cancer or he will die in a week. Amanda Hayes helped to create mutant monster Anacondas in a laboratory using a serum made from Blood Orchids that only works on snakes, not humans. Anaconda (2015), which is a loose sequel to the Lake Placid giant crocodile franchise, with giant Anacondas. So far, there is one more film in the franchise, Lake Placid vs. (They were filmed at the same time, too.) Many of the characters in the previous movie ended up as snake food, but two of the main characters and several other characters appear again in this sequel, which takes place near the same location in Romania. But this fourth movie is an actual sequel to the third one.
The action was moved to Romania in that movie. The third movie in the franchise, Anaconda 3: Offspring (2008) again had no connections with the second movie, except for the Wexel Hall pharmaceutical company, that sponsored the expedition to find the Blood Orchids in Borneo. The action was moved to Borneo where we are introduced to the Blood Orchid, a flower that blooms once every seven years which can prolong life, and which has made the Anacondas in the area bigger, faster, and much more powerful, and these gigantic monster snakes make hunting for the orchid extremely dangerous. The second movie, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004), was an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of Anaconda and has nothing to do with the original except the title. This made-for-TV movie is the fourth in the Anaconda franchise, which began with Anaconda (1997) which takes place in South America. Some of these pictures and descriptions may give away plot details that you might not want to know before watching the film.
